The Emperor Casino
A downloadable game
Description
The Emperor Casino is the most popular spot for only the most wealthy and famous patrons. But not all is as it seems. Just yesterday, an unidentified corpse was found in the wine cellar, clearly murdered. Wanting to keep things quiet, the casino hires you, a private eye. Look for clues through the eyes of your witnesses as you interrogate them and try to solve the murder before the killer strikes again.

Theme Interpretation
The theme of this year’s game jam is “The Eyes Have It”. We felt that this theme lent itself well to a mystery or horror game. In The Emperor Casino, the player can see through the eyes of other characters and play as them to solve the mystery. In addition, the characters' designs and the casino itself are inspired by things known for their eyes: owls, peacock feathers, and moths.

Known Issues / Bugs
- We wanted to make a mechanic where you could press a button to hide from the “monster”, which would chase you around, but we ended up not having enough time.
- The game’s assets and font may appear at different sizes on different machines.
Extra Notes (optional)
- The singer’s name is Pearl (portmanteau of “peacock girl”)
- The casino is named after the Emperor Moth, a species with particularly dramatic eye patterns on its wings

unfortunately, the UnityPlayer.dll file, which tells your computer what the dependencies are for the game was not uploaded alongside the .exe. As such, the game can not be run. I don't know why Unity games can't be played front the .exe along, but they can't. I will try to find a way to play this, the art looks amazing from the pictures, and I'm fairly sure this is the game my sister's friend group made, but I'm not sure I will be able to.
